My father was the kind of person who can whip up a perfectly respectable meal from the top of his head, no recipes required. I guess some people are just born that way: they know, instinctively, which pinch of this and which dash of what go well together.
A Warning: Mid-20s is the age when people start telling you to get married

NOT in a rush
And after you get married, they’ll start pestering you to have kids. And your friends getting married (or getting pregnant) one after another is no help at all. K and I have been together for 6 years and neither of us have siblings. Imagine that–sometimes I think our relatives are more excited for our wedding than we are, haha.
Homemade Wicked Oreos
I’ve never heard heard of Flamings Wings‘ apparently much-revered Wicked Oreos before I posted these photos to my Facebook last week and my officemates started asking me how I made them (one officemate went to Flaming Wings the next day because she craved for their Wicked Oreos after seeing my version). Truth is, K and I just saw Ann Ward in America’s Next Top Model make these, thought they sounded yummy, and forgot about it. It wasn’t until we got a free dessert platter from The Old Spaghetti House that included three of these that I remembered we wanted to try it out.
Well, hello. Bacon Pancakes!
When K first ordered this at Pancake House, I thought it’s a bit weird. Pancakes with a side of bacon I’ve heard of, but I can’t say the idea of ever eating Bacon Pancakes ever crossed my mind before he made me take a bite. I didn’t even know anyone did that, you know, adding something that isn’t sweet to pancakes.

SAY WUT?
