The gorgeous cast
I tend to be overly enthusiastic about things I love and this will be unnecessarily long. I apologize in advance for that.
The Hunger Games official trailer was released yesterday! Three of my friends almost simultaneously tagged me in Fa]cebook with the video a few minutes after midnight last night (they know I have an obsession), and wow! The wait was definitely worth it. The trailer was superb.

Katniss worries about Gale
First and most important of all, the script seems to be very cleverly written. I was worried when I found out that they changed the bread scene (how could they!) and the origin of the Mockingjay pin (no Madge :’( ). But after hearing a few lines from the trailer, I got the feeling that this is one movie I will enjoy as much as I enjoyed the books.

Katniss volunteers for Prim
And Jennifer Lawrence. Whew. She took my breath away in the Reaping scene when she volunteered for Prim, and to take a fan–one who has read the book a thousand times–by surprise is an incredible feat. While I watched the video, I felt her pain. I knew she would be superb and boy, she did not disappoint (can’t say the same thing about Josh Hutcherson though).

"As lovely as the primrose for which she was named."
Willow Shields is perfect as Prim, she’s really very lovely and has the most expressive eyes. I love the scene where Gale had to carry her away from Katniss.
We even caught a glimpse of tiny Rue:

Hello there, little bird

Katniss is happy to see Rue
I can’t find one bad thing to say about it. But I do hope the movie lives up to the hype.

I enjoyed reading Hunger Games and the first book was definitely my favorite in the trilogy. I wasn’t too happy with the casting for the guys but I had a feeling Jennifer Lawrence would make a kick-ass Katniss
and yes, the reaping scene was quite emotional & that’s just the trailer!

Me too! I keep seeing Josh Hutcherson in Bridge to Terabithia, a movie I really dislike.
Have you seen Winter’s Bone? J. Lawrence was pretty good there too.

Sadly no. I plan to watch it soon though as I’ve heard raves about that movie.
